OK... for real this time...

Yes, I updated this site a few days ago, and yes we were supposed to close, but, par for the course, we hit another snag. The funds were sent to escrow, the issues were all resolved, and the papers were all in, or so we thought. We were just waiting for the official recording with the city yesterday, but once again I got an urgent message from escrow. Something was missing. Not something anybody forgot, but rather a one page rider that had been signed and turned in to escrow and then was lost instead of being sent to the city. So there I was yesterday morning, racing off to Abbey's work to get her to sign the form again, and instead of trusting anybody else to mess things up again, I drove the page directly to the title company's main office in Rancho Cucamunga for a personal delivery. Then the wait continued and today, finally, we got word at 2:18pm that the deed had been recorded and the house was officially ours!!

Expect updates to be coming very soon as our roofer is scheduled to start on Monday and Abbey and I plan to have a very busy weekend doing demo!!

It has been a long road since we first saw this house in March, and after the many stressful months we have finally made it to the end of escrow. We closed today, and can now call ourselves home owners for the first time! So we now can really open up our blog and get to work. Since we created this page, there have already been so many changes. I have left up all the old postings and designs for the house, but watch for updates as there are new plans and ideas on the way. And of course, watch for updated pictures and postings as we get to work!
